The Great Gatsby
The Great Gatsby is a classic novel due to many elements in the story. I think it is a classic novel because it shows the downfall of a great character, and there was only one thing that lead him to that downfall. Daisey was the reason why he died, or why he ever had problems. If Gatsby could of just deleted her from his mind he would of been a better person, and would of had a better life without the thought of trying to only do good for her. This story is a little like The Crucible in the fact that one person can ruin your life. In The Crucible the one main girl who he had an affair with started the whole witch trail which leads up to the downfall of him, which is a little like Gatsby. All in all I really like The Great Gatsby, and it will forever be a classic novel.

Letter to Sarah Ballou
Dear Sullivan,
My husband, my lover, I miss you so dearly. I would do anything to see you once more, before tomorrow. Our sons are doing well, they are growing up to look just like you. People around town are talking about you, they are good things Sulli, a lot of them look up to you as a hero. Your parents stopped by the other day for dinner, I made your favorite meal, Turkey and corn. If you guys go into battle tomorrow keep good thoughts in your head, bad ones will just make things worse. No matter what happens we will be together again, that is a fact, and the kids will get their father back. Anyways, how have you been? How are your clothes holding up, do you recognize any other brave men? Is there any chance that after the battle tomorrow you can come home? If the worst imagineable happens I don't know how I will move on without you. I am sorry I do not mean to make you think about those things, it is just that I am very worried about you. Always remember that the lord is watching after you, and we love you. When this is all over, we are going to go on a vacation to Ohio, I heard it is really nice there. We love you and miss you.

Nautica Pavilion
Don’t you love when a concert’s atmosphere is just magnificent? Don’t you love the feeling when you know everything is going the way you dreamed? Well I know I do, and usually it doesn’t work out that way, but at the Nautica Pavilion that is exactly how it works out, 110 percent of the time. It provides everything you could possibly want at a concert; beautiful sights, structures, and the sounds of your favorite music groups. If you want to soak in the sun and experience the beautiful Cleveland skyline, while you’re watching your favorite music group, there is only one place to go, it is the Nautica Pavilion!
The Nautica Pavilion was made for different reasons than it is used for today. It was originally built for a Cleveland utility building. This building kept old streetcars running. Later in the 1980’s it was refurbished into an entertainment complex for all seasons. The original complex had many different activities you could attend such as breweries, comedy clubs, retail shops, restaurants, party rooms, and a saloon. No matter what your personality was, you could be sure to enjoy yourself. The name of the original area was called the Nautica Stage. In 2003, they had renovated the Pavilion and decided to name it the Scene Pavilion. In 2006, the naming rights were for sale and guess who successfully purchased the rights? Our one and only Plain Dealer, therefore it was named The Plain Dealer Pavilion. The current name is just the Nautica Pavilion which is owned and operated by Live Nation, this current name has stood since 2009 (www.cleveland.about.com). Do you know what was going on in Cleveland 1997? The MLB all-star game was being held in our own city! Due to the game being held in Cleveland, the MLB and Cleveland made a deal so they could borrow the Pavilion for that timeframe with the purpose of hosting lots of fun festivals for everyone. It was a great time for Cleveland and for the Pavilion. The Pavilion was able to show off its beautiful sights in front of thousands (www.cleveland.about.com). This definitely drew people back to visit again.
Due to the departure of Lebron James, many businesses have worried about the revenue they will make. One place that shouldn’t be affected by the departure of Lebron James is the Nautica Pavilion. It is our star location for people to come and experience a once in a lifetime musical festival. There have been many past artists such as Bob Dylan, Panic! At The Disco, Train, Brittney Spears, Mary J. Blidge, Mariah Carey, Paul Simon, Fiona Apple, and many others (www.wikipedia.com). When you go to a show at the Pavilion you will be in awe. There is absolutely no other place with scenery quite as unique as the Nautica Pavilion. With its high arched windows, sky-high stacks, and red shades of bricks have made it National historic landmark. When you walk in you will notice it is an open aired amphitheater. You will also notice you are right on the riverside of the Cuyahoga river, which means you get the pleasure of seeing tons of boats pass by. The Pavilion also sits in a great spot so that you can see many of the beautiful Cleveland buildings, which are special in their own rights. If you have the opportunity to catch a show with a sunset, there is no sight like it. I can’t forget to tell you about the bridges you will notice. Some say Cleveland holds the most diverse size and structures of bridges of any other region on earth. There is no doubt you can turn a place like this down, however, you’d have to work hard to think of any other location that has this many factors that make you want to come to a concert. So as you can tell, our city of Cleveland is not only named the home of rock and roll for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, but also for outstanding shows like ones performed at the Nautica Pavilion.
The Nautica Pavilion usually holds about 15-20 concerts in its season. It is open from early summer to early fall, attracting millions of people from all over each year. Don’t you hate when the guy in front of you is obscuring your view? At the Nautica Pavilion you won’t have that problem. It has spectacular seating with festival and bleacher style seating, so everyone has a great sight of the show. Some artists that played this current year included Insane Clown Posse, Moody Blues, Ringo Starr and his All Star band, Black Keys, Barenaked Ladies, and the infamous Backstreet Boys (www.cleveland.about.com).
If you want to soak in the sun and experience the beautiful Cleveland skyline, while you’re watching your favorite music group, there is only one place to go, it is the Nautica Pavilion! In the future the Nautica Pavilion hopes to keep progressing forward with new artists, bigger shows, and more fans. It will also be rented for parties, weddings, proms, and social events. This would go be active all year as long as it is not set on a concert date. When you go to a show in any city, would you rather have a beautiful night and have the show outside in nice weather, or would you want to go in a dark inside concert such as The House of Blues. The House of Blues is a wonderful place, they are located all over the country, but when you’re in Cleveland wouldn’t you want to go to an area that no other city has the luck to have. Cleveland is the only city with the Nautica Pavilion, it also is the only place in our city with that kind of uniqueness and sights to see. What I am trying to say is before you judge our beloved city; you need to experience it from all aspects. Be sure that before your stay in Cleveland ends, you have made sure that you visited the Nautica Pavilion, which has sights and sounds like no other place in our great country of the U.S.A.

Jungle To Jungle
Jungle To Jungle was a film created around 10 years ago starring Tim Allen. In this film Tim is a businessman from a main city like New York or Chicago. His wife and him have been divorced for about 13 years now. She called him out of the blue one day and told them they have a son around the age of 13. Tim is very surprised and goes to the island to met him. When he gets there it is a whole new atmosphere. The people were wearing lion cloths, covered in war paint, and had absolutely no technology. Tim comes in a suit and tie, carrying his laptop and cellphone. So just like the old days the white men feel more superior to the natives with their advancement in culture and technology.

The Great African Proverb
I take this proverb in a serious way. To me this proverb is telling me to live you life to the fullest,or else death or hard times will have a greater toll on you. When it says to find a storyteller, I take that as find something you truly enjoy, not something you do to please someone with. Something you really love to do. I know to many kids that try to pretend have fun to make their parents proud. For example sports. I have a number of friends who play a sport because their parents are so proud of them for it, or because they played back in the day. My friends will tell my how miserable it is. I feel really bad for them. I feel as you should do something you really love, and no matter how dumb people may think it is, when your parents see you love it, they will be very proud. All I am trying to say is try and live your life to the fullest, because we don't have forever.
